What should you know before surgery?

Duration of operations usually takes about 2 hours depending on the interference volume, and is typically performed under general anesthesia. Usually after 12 days the sutures are removed after the operation, but they are hardly visible after 2-4 months . It is also necessary to proceed the list of clinical analysis to clarify the patient’s state of health at the moment. At least 2 weeks before surgery it is necessary to avoid smoking and alcohol intake, calculate the menstrual cycle, agree on taking any medications with the surgeon. It is strongly recommended to have a special compression bra by appropriate breast size, beforehand.

Possible complications after reduction mammoplasty:

  • Disturbance of sensitivity of the nipple and areola (usually up to 6 months)
  • Hematoma
  • Keloids
  • Infection
